Numbers to Excel converter — formulas stay alive, no Mac needed

Drag & drop your .numbers files here

one or many at once — up to 200 files per batch

Your files never leave your device — everything is parsed locally in your browser.

How it works

1

Drop your .numbers files

One spreadsheet or two hundred — they are parsed on the spot by JavaScript in this tab. Nothing is uploaded, ever; you can watch the Network tab and see no file bytes leave.

2

Preview & check

Every workbook opens in a preview grid with one tab per table, so you can confirm the numbers, dates and text look right before exporting. Formula cells show their computed values.

3

Export to Excel — formulas included

Export any sheet to a real .xlsx workbook free, forever — pick the tab in the preview. Formulas that Excel understands stay live formulas (SUM, IF, VLOOKUP and 30+ more); anything Numbers-only arrives as its computed value. Want everything at once? Exporting ALL sheets of a multi-sheet spreadsheet in one click — or 2+ files as one zip — is the one-time $9.99 license.

Simple pricing

Everything essential is free. A one-time $9.99 unlocks whole-workbook and batch export forever.

Frequently asked questions

What is a .numbers file?

A .numbers file is a spreadsheet created by Apple Numbers, the spreadsheet app that ships with every Mac, iPhone and iPad. It is Apple's own format: Microsoft Excel on Windows cannot open it directly, which is why a conversion step is needed when a Mac user sends one to a PC user.

How do I open a .numbers file without a Mac?

Right here: drag the .numbers file into the box above (or click "Choose .numbers files"). The spreadsheet is parsed in your browser tab and converted to a real Excel .xlsx workbook you can open anywhere — no Mac, no iCloud account, no upload. Just want to look at the contents first? Use the Numbers viewer.

Are my formulas preserved in the Excel file?

Yes — as live formulas whenever Excel can understand them. Common functions (SUM, AVERAGE, IF, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP and 30+ more) with plain A1-style references are written as real Excel formulas, so they recalculate when you edit the sheet — each cell still carries its last computed value, so you see the right numbers even before Excel recalculates. Formulas that use Numbers-only features (cross-table references, named columns, Apple-only functions) can't be expressed in Excel syntax; those cells arrive as their computed values — the same result as copy → paste special → values. (CSV exports are always values only — the format has no formulas.)

Is it safe to convert confidential spreadsheets here?

Yes — by construction. The file is read and converted entirely by JavaScript running in your browser; it is never transmitted. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools (Network tab), load a file, and watch — no file bytes are sent anywhere. The only requests this site makes are page loads, an anonymous usage counter (counts only, never content), and license validation for paid users. Details in the privacy policy.

What's free and what costs $9.99?

Free, forever: opening and previewing .numbers files, and exporting any ONE sheet or table per file to Excel or CSV — pick it in the preview tabs, unlimited. The one-time $9.99 license unlocks exporting ALL sheets of a multi-sheet spreadsheet at once (one multi-sheet workbook, or a zip of CSVs) and batch export of 2 or more files as one zip. Pay once — it's a lifetime license, not a subscription.

How do I convert many .numbers files at once?

Drop a whole folder's worth of .numbers files onto the page (up to 200 per batch). They all parse into a list; tick the ones you need and export them together — each becomes its own .xlsx workbook inside a single zip download. That batch export is the paid feature.

Does it keep multiple sheets and tables?

Yes. A Numbers document holds sheets, and each sheet can hold several tables — the converter keeps all of them. Every table becomes its own worksheet in the .xlsx file, named "sheet-table", so nothing is merged or lost. Dates, numbers, text and TRUE/FALSE values all arrive with the right Excel types. Need raw data instead? The Numbers to CSV page writes one .csv per table.

I already paid but lost my license key — what do I do?

Your key is shown on your Gumroad receipt, emailed to you right after checkout — search your inbox for "Gumroad" and open the receipt to copy it. Then click "Enter license key" in the top navigation to re-activate batch export.
